Archipielago of San Bernardo

 ARCHIPIELAGO OF SAN BERNARDO

Hi, welcome back to this amazing blog, today I'm going to tell you about a great group of islands ubicated near the Golfo of Morrosquillo: The Archipielago of San Bernardo, here you can have information about the place and my experience when I was there.

WHAT IS IT?

The Archipielago of San Bernardo is a group of islands in Colombia (My country), located near ''The Golfo of Morrosquillo'', is also near to the Caribbean Sea, there are 10 islands: Boquerón, Palma, Panda, Mangle, Ceycén, Cabruna, Tintipán, Maravilla, Múcura and Santa Cruz del Islote.

All of them are beautiful but I have visited only 4 of them (Mucura, Santa Cruz del Islote, Tintipán and Boquerón), I haven't visited the other 6 yet. It is so beautiful, if you go there, you are going to surprise with the pretty sea, with the beach and the sun.

HOW TO GO?

The only way to go is travel to the Golfo of Morrosquillo or some cities or towns like Tolú, Cartagena, Coveñas, etc, there is no way to go here by airplane, when do you arrive in some city or town near there, you must pay for a boat that travel for the islands mentioned (If you don't have a paid plan).

My experience travelling was... TERRIBLE (By the time), It was 24 hours, like a day, I have been sit down in my chair but no for a long time, sheeeeeesh, I only got up for breakfast, launch and dinner (In the road), I don't recommend you to do this, the only good thing was the food and the beautiful view of the mountains and the sea. I haven't seen this before!

PRICE: IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE?

Ok, I thing that this is the most important part, It is too expensive?, and the answer is... maybe, beacause It depends of your plan. If you're questioning, no, I haven't had (I didn't know) the price at the moment of the travel (And today I still don't have it), but I think that was a little expensive, because the food, the boat, the plan (Because yes, I have been in a hotel), etc, etc.

But, searching in the internet, if you want to travel in plane to Cartagena and then go to the port to travel again to one of the Islands, it costs COP 260.000–515.000, also, depends the people that are with you. Or if you want to travel in car to Cartagena or near towns, and take a boat to go to the islands, it will cost COP 150.000+.

FOOD
The food is delicious, the most predominant food is the fish, sometimes with ''Patacon'', coconut rice, salad, etc, but It will have different versions, it will have tomatoes, salad, fruits, vegetables, rice, coco, etc.

In my opinion, the food there is delicious, but, i don't like the fish, but, anyway, it was delicious.
I remember that one of the afternoons I haven't eaten yet, and when I saw, my parents gave me ''salchipapas'', oofff, that thing was terribly delicious. Totally recommended, great food they have given to me.

RECOMMENDED OR NOT? MY EXPERIENCE
My answer is... Obviously yes, because It have everything, the sea, the beach, the food, the people, the sauce (Dance or this things, ya' feel me?), the sun, all good, I'll give it a 10+1 over 10.
My experience was good, I have traveled so many times in a car, but I haven't traveled for a long time, on the first day (yeah, because was 2 days long), We stopped at night at Aguachica, Cesar, and sleep there, I have slept in so many places in the middle of the road to go at some place, so, It wasn't a problem for me anymore, and, at the next day, we arrived to Tolú, I haven't been in this place (at that time), was a little town and we arrived also to a Police hotel (because my dad at that time was police), and we were there, We haven't been there (At the moment x2), and then, like 2 days later, we traveled in boat to 4 of 10 islands: Mucura, Santa Cruz del Islote, Tintipán and Boquerón, It was beautiful, all this day at the morning we were just visiting all this islands, then, at the afternoon, we stopped and ate in a restaurant, in Tintipán, then, at the 4:30 p.m. we were travelling to be back in Tolú. And that's all, then (in another 2 days later) we traveled again for 24 hours to Bogotá.
